Singapore’s Sentosa island is set to pioneer ‘solar pavements’ on Fort Siloso Skywalk in Q1 2024. The Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has exceeded its 2023 solar capacity target, boasting over 5.2 megawatt-peak.
This initiative could annually produce close to 6.6 gigawatt hours of clean energy, cutting over 2,600 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to emissions from 97,700 hotel room nights.
The Solar Pavement Project aligns with Sentosa’s commitment to carbon neutrality and innovative solar energy utilisation.
