HY had the privilege to partner with various Energy Storage System (ESS) vendors to conduct pilot trials and demonstrations on the safe use and operations of ESS. The following are some of the projects we have embarked on.
One of the ongoing projects is the setup of the Energy Storage System by GenPlus to be installed as part of the Floating Living Lab, a research project collaboration between Keppel O&M and EMA.
At HY, we provide the services to review and engineer the Electrical, Fire and Cooling Systems with the ESS Manufacturer. This is to ensure that the Electrical, Fire Safety and Cooling Provisions for the ESS meet the requirements of the Authorities, such as EMA, SP Group and SCDF. This will often require rounds of discussion and consultation with the various stakeholders, certification and verification of the installed system to ensure that they are safely deployed.
We provide Testing and Commissioning services for ESS which includes Power Quality Profiling.
We provide the services to Model and Simulate the Thermal and Fire effects of ESS, using CAE Tools. This can be useful to understand the worst-case scenarios of ESS deployments.
We are keen to explore more applications and work with partners to join us in this learning journey.
